Record of Donations  to the Library

  • Anne M. recently donated to our Library a copy of the 1st and 2nd edition of the books on grasses that were the subject of her Book of the Month in September.

  • Bruce W. donated a copy of "Growing Australian Native Plants from Seed" and "Seed Collection of Australian Native Plants". Many thanks to these two members.

  • Harry S. donated "Pearl Beach Legacy"  a biography by Joan Webb of the remarkable Minard Crommelin whose life work is recognised in the naming of the Crommelin Native Arboretum at Pearl Beach.

  • A CD of approximately 190 plant photographs taken since 1969 has been donated to the Group by Andrew S. Many thanks to Andrew for this valuable piece of local history.

A book cataloguing every plant that grows in Western Australia that was given to every person attending the ASGAP Conference in Perth recently.

2007 Donations

Don Bourke’s ‘Indigenous’ is a new acquisition to our Group library.  ‘Indigenous’ is the story of Don Bourke’s passion for his native garden and how it was created.

This book has been purchased in memory of long time member Anka Aaso who passed away in June 2005 after a short battle with cancer.

Thank you to Warren B. for his donation to our library of Barry Kemp’s publication ‘Wildflowers of the North Coast of New South Wales’.   This book covers plants in the area from around Swansea right up to Tweed Heads in the north.
